As we continue to add facilities and services to better serve our community, we are pleased to update you on some of our recent expansion accomplishments.

In November 2009, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital completed its new Imaging Services Department expansion that features advanced-technology and state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities, as well as a new lounge, waiting room and modernized offices.

In addition to the benefits of having this highly sophisticated diagnostic technology available to our community, patients have also experienced an additional benefit from the expansion - less wait times for imaging services.  In fact, the expansion has allowed imaging services staff to complete exams in half the time than they could in the previous facility.

The entire imaging department has also been updated with state-of-the art electronic capabilities which digitally capture diagnostic images and provides physicians with almost instantaneously access to the images from throughout the hospital.  This technology also allowed the department to eliminate film processing which added to patient wait times and was especially cumbersome when dealing with emergency room patients.

While patient satisfaction was one of the key components of Henry Mayo's imaging services expansion, physicians also appreciate the quality and accessibility of these vital diagnostic and interventional services right here in their local community.
